What exactly is a Group?
Groups create a space for people to intentionally share their lives with others, grow spiritually together, and encourage each other through the highs and lows of life. A Group Leader determines how often their group meets and what the focus of the group is. Groups gather in homes, coffee shops, and other places where people love to connect.
What types of Groups are available?
We have a variety of groups for whatever season of life you might be in. Some groups will meet in-person while others meet online. Options include Men’s, Women’s, Coed, and Students. Some groups are arranged around a special interest or activity like finances, outreach, mountain biking, cooking, etc.
We also have Freedom Groups, which are a 12-week experience designed to help participants live fully alive in Christ.
What will be talked about?
The goal of your group experience is to develop relationships while also growing spiritually. For some groups, this means watching Monday Night Football and talking about life, then praying for one another. Other groups might pick a Bible study or topic to walk through together over the course of a few weeks. It’s really based on the members and needs of the group.
What if there's not a Group for what I'm looking for?
This might be a sign that God is calling you to start a group! If God’s placed a certain passion or calling within you, He might want you to take a step of faith and launch a Group around it. You won’t have to do this alone, though. Your Life Groups team is here to support you every step of the way.
What if I don't feel qualified to be a Group Leader?
Don’t worry—you don’t have to a Bible scholar to lead a Group! We have lots of great resources to make leading a group as easy as possible, including conversation topics for your group, content to go through, tips for new leaders, and resources to help you develop and grow as a leader. You’ll also be connected to a Groups Coach, who will be there to support you with prayer, resources, and encouragement along the way.
